The Pelican State
The ultimate symbol of self-sacrifice and charity - a mother pelican
wounding her own breast to feed her three young pelicans below her. Featured on
the center of the Louisiana state flag, this symbol shows the state bird embodying
what Louisiana stands for. Show your Louisiana pride by flying this flag high and
promote the state motto "Union, Justice, and Confidence." Originally designed in
1912 and updated as recent as 2006, the message of the Louisiana flag translates
through generations.
Constructed from heavy duty 200 denier nylon, finished with a canvas heading and grommets.
